Bài tập tuần 2 · 3/6/2026
The fast pace of life makes many workers tired. Because the cost of living is high, people spend time doing extra tasks and working overtime to afford to pay bills. This strict work schedule causes a severe loss of sleep. Workers stay awake late to catch up on emails, then rush to the station every morning. [I] The constant lack of rest leads to physical exhaustion. If they ignore the problem, they end up feeling deeply depressed.
Busy employees usually enjoy eating processed food and red meat. These items often contain artificial chemicals that cause stomach upset. A high intake of sugar and fat is bad for the human body. [II] As a result, many adults put on weight and become overweight, leading to a sharp rise in adult obesity. If people do not lose weight, they can get a serious disease. Doctors state that poor eating habits harm internal organs and damage normal biological functions. Individuals must think about their daily meals.
Many residents want to change their habits to keep fit. Some people cycle to work, while others visit fitness centers to lift weights and build muscle. Even workers with a tough physical job fancy visiting quiet parks to relax. [III] A green environment is very relaxing. There, they can breathe clean air, stay mindful, and go offline. They also stay hydrated by drinking water. However, when extreme stress inevitably makes them fall sick, they have to book an appointment for a check-up and stand in a hospital queue. During these visits, because medical advice is often confusing, they must concentrate carefully on the instructions to ensure their safety.
Scientists constantly do research on human health. They reach a conclusion that a good standard of living improves longevity. On average, the life expectancy in developed cities continues to rise. To understand this positive trend, regional healthcare systems regularly monitor patient visits. [IV] The final reports show that active residents reduce the risk of developing illnesses. These citizens are good at keeping a healthy balance between work and physical relaxation. A relaxed lifestyle clearly extends human life.
